Yup I agree- audio sound like old fashioned squegging. at the start of each element, there is a settling in time. Usable but no one sounds T9. Of course not many do... Underwater was a good description

I would operate CW wih this as is- if the sidetone is instant. I dont care how long it takes for the elements to go out the antenna.

I retract this- the CW receive is way better since I cased the rig in the metal enclosure. CW notes both strong and weak are sounding clean. :D I'm ready for CW transmit!
