No SSB TX on new build.

General discussion and support for the Peaberry SDR V2.

No SSB TX on new build.

Postby ND6P » Thu Apr 16, 2015 9:37 pm

Hello,

I just completed building my Peaberry V2 and am testing. All works fine on receive. I can transmit in AM. It sounds good in the receiver and I can null the image well. Problem is that when I change the modulation to LSB or USB, I get no TX output. The meter on HDSDR remains in one position and the lower waterfall freezes.

Does anyone know what the problem might be?

Thanks,

Hi Jim,
Do you have HDSDR TX I/Q swapped ? They should be.

Yes, I already had TX I/Q swapped on HDSDR.

Problem turned out to be that the bandwidth in HDSDR needed to be set to 48K before SSB TX would work for me. I had it set at 96K initially.

I also have my microphone USB audio adapter set for 48K, just in case it runs better that way. Anyway, the SSB output sounds good now and I am happy that no rework was needed on the Peaberry. Onward ...

Thanks for the reply, much appreciated.

Hum, interesting. I've had both set to 96000 since the beginning.

But, good you have it working. Have fun !
