Installed Q6-8 Backwards...

Postby mosheen » Thu Apr 16, 2015 12:09 am

Wasn't firing on all cylinders last night and put them in reversed. I've powered the circuit a few times trying to find the solder bridge that wasn't. What's the damage here? Is it worth my trouble to re-solder them correctly, or are they toast and I should just order a few more? My supply was showing 1.7A peak.

I can't say definitively, but since Q7 & 8 are your PA, I would just replace them. They are cheap and it will be good insurance.

Good Luck!
