Postby john.kg9dk » Wed Feb 18, 2015 1:37 am

I have bee away for some time, I was building a Peaberry v1 at the time. Now I see there is V2. I have been looking to see what the difference are but so far have not found the information. wondering if it is software or hardware or both. Can some one point me in to the location of the information. thanks

Oversimplification:

The PB v1 has sound card jacks.

The PB v2 does away with these, routing the sound via a digital USB connection (same as the radio control plane).
The audio subsystem is 96 kHz sampling capable, and is quite good.
PB v2 also has a relay to select multiple output filters, allowing up to 4 band operation.

In short: Major hardware difference.

V1 is based on SoftRock circuits and filters. V2 changes pretty much everything except the transmitter amps. Both route the I/Q data over USB.
