J3 AMP Socket Polarity

Postby vk5yx » Thu Jan 08, 2015 4:34 am

My Peaberry V2 works well on it's 3 bands; 20/30/40. Many thanks David! In my attempts to interface an exteral PA I've discovered that the schematic page 1/5 shows the U12 Optocoupler drawn incorrectly. The output is an NPN junction and therefore should show the arrow pointing outward. When I reversed my external circuitry, my external amp triggers! I looked up the data sheet on www and that confirms it. 73 to all. Hans VK5YX.

It's not a very good drawing but it's definitely NPN if you look closely (or zoom).
