I built 2nd Peaberry SDR V2 20/30/40/60

Postby BRIANV » Mon Jan 05, 2015 4:29 am

I was able to breeze through the assembly of my 2nd Peaberry SDR V2, including winding my own coils, and programming my PSoC , and fired it up on 40 meters and got an S5, see my QRZ.COM page WB7QDR.

My station now consist of two Peaberry SDR V2, 10/12/15/17 ,20/30/40/60, home built/repaired RF Amplifier, and home built Antenna Tuner, 50 ft of 1/2 hardline , to a home built 34' vertical.

Hi,
Great! Yes, I have two Peaberrys also. One for 80/75/60/40 and 30/20/17/15. As mentioned in another thread, I think this is a great SDR rig.

One question, why did you need to program the PSoC?

Hi again Ron,
Per page 29 of the build instructions I updated to march 2014?, located in the peaberry support files?
Is there something I missed?

Hi,
OK, that page of instructions is for updating the firmware IF David releases a new version past the time when you received your Peaberry. I'm sure David ships Peaberrys with the most current version. (But he would know that best). In other words, uploading the firmware is not necessary as the PSoC comes with the most current version.

Thanks Ron, I was not sure, and I did not see the info in the instructions, you are probably right, but just wanted t make sure I had the latest release.
