L1 coil turns vs uH

Hi to the forum, I am up to where I install L1. I decided to measure the inductance with my "almost all digital electronics L/C meter" For 16 turns it measured 1.2uH, I removed 5 turns to get down to 0.9uH. So my question should I wind the coil to the number of turns listed in the work sheet or wind the coil to the listed inductance which in this case is 0.8uH.

The main problem you're having with measurements is that the meter you are using doesn't operate at the frequency of the device. The vendor claims 1% accuracy but tests the calibration standard 10000% or more out of frequency spec. You're certainly welcome to tinker and learn more about your tools, but if you just want to get to a working radio then I always recommend you follow the directions.

I came to the same conclusion while waiting for an answer. I have another problem and will post in a new post.
